The Speed Bird print, also known as “Sika Wo Ntaban”— is one of the most iconic bird motifs in African wax (Ankara) fabrics.
Inspired by the Akan proverb “money has wings,” the Speed Bird print symbolizes the fleeting nature of wealth and the idea that nothing material is permanent. The bird in motion reflects freedom, movement, and transition, but also serves as a quiet reminder to live with intention, humility, and purpose.
